Carbohydrates

Three types of Carbohydrates are starch, glycogen, and cellulose. Starches are found in plants, and has a straight chain of glucose, which is sugar, molecules with relatively few side branches. Glycogen is found in animals. It is highly branched polymer of glucose with many side branches. Cellulose are in plants of the cell wall. It is a polymer of glucose which forms microfibrils, the primary. The interesting part of cellulose is that cotton is nearly pure as cellulose. Realizing that cellulose is a very important part in carbohydrates.
