Sounds confusing but after understanding there jobs it wasn't that bad.
I understood Mitosis is the process of the division of the cell for OUR "DNA"(the word that makes us unique in our own way). The cell cycle is replicated, where 23 chromosomes from dad and 23 chromosomes from mom forms together to make 46 chromosomes forming a whole different set of DNA. Meiosis is process dealing with the sperm and the egg, sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction. It replicates one single DNA in two divisions.

Photosynthesis vs. Cellular Respiration
Can we live without one or the other? Is it possible to form cellular respiration without photosynthesis? why do we need the two?
NO! We can not live without them, cellular respiration can not process without photosynthesis. Photosnythesis form the glucose for the cellular respiration to process. We need photosynthesis and cellular respiration to SURVIVE! They work together to produce whatever we need to survive.

Cellular Respiration
What is Cellular Respiration???
It involves various metabolic pathways that break down carbohydrates and other metabolites with the build up of ATP. It consumes oxygen and produces carbon dioxide. Cellular respiration is consist of four phases: Glycolysis, Preparatory reaction, citric acid cycle or Krebs cycle, and Electron Transport Chain. Glycolysis breaks down glucose into two molecules of pyruvate. Preparatory reaction is when the pyruvate enters a mitochondrion and oxidized to a two carbon acetyl group and removes carbon dixoide. The Citric acid cycle occurs in the mitochondrion and produces NADH & FADH, it gives off carbon dioxide and produces one ATP. The Electron transport chainis where the electron passes from higher to lower energy states and allows energy to be released and stored for ATP production...............pretty cool to me. Cellular Respiration is a very important process for our bodies!

Plants and Roots
I found out that plants are a lot like us, all the way down to the skin. How cool is that? Plants have tissues like we do, epidermal tissue, ground tissue, and vascular tissue. The epidermal on our bodies and epidermal tissue on plants is the same the protect bacteria and different things that do not belong. When i read about how the vascular tissue works, I thought about our blood stream, transferring blood throughout our bodies. The plants have what is called xylem and phloem that transfer water, minerals, molecules, and glucose throughout the plant, to give the plant what it need to produce whatever it needs to produce.
Plants
To be honest I did not think photosynthesis was nothing, just something else we had to learn in school. But when I listen to my professor and how he explained what photosynthesis was, I was like wow photosynthesis is a important part of out environment. It is the heart of plants, therefore if there was no such thing as photosynthesis, plants would not exists and neither would we because plants and trees gives off oxygen for us to breath. AWESOME! The more I really learn how life works through science the more I want to know. Since I've been in Biology this quarter, I have really learned a lot.
CELLS!!!!
How can something so small have a big job to full fill? I think is awesome! You can never underestimate something so small. A cell is the basic structural and functional unit of all living things. The cell theory states that all organisms are composed of cells, and that the cells only come from preexisting cells. There are two types of cells, the prokaryotic cells and the eukaryotic cells. Cells are the main line to every living thing. If there were no cells we would not exist at all.
